Neige LeBlanche Magic and Abilities
Feb. 3rd, 2025 08:06 pmElemental Magic - In Twisted Wonderland, the elements are divided into that of flora, fire, water, and cosmic. Royal Sword Academy students undoubtedly have proficiency in these four basic elements, though it's not uncommon to master one more easily than another. While certain students harness cosmic energy in the form of dark, Neige is among the vast majority of RSA students that harnesses cosmic energy in the form of light. This magic, in all of the applicable elements, is generally displayed in their spontaneous creation versus manipulation of ones already existing. Neige is unlikely to have ant out-of-the-ordinary aptitude for elemental magic over other types of magic and can't perform any particularly exceptional feats.
Applied Magic - This category of magic refers to non-elemental spells, such as manipulating physical objects. He is unlikely to do more than simple object manipulations, color changes, or outfit quick-changes.
Healing - The field of medical magic is its own advanced course of study that students would be unlikely to learn in great detail until moving on to higher education. However, it's likely that RSA students would have a greater affinity for this type of magic and study it a bit more regularly in their typical syllabus. Neige can therefore perform small feats of healing--but nothing that wouldn't also require additional bedrest to top things off.
Alchemy & Potions - While far from being an exceptional student in the field, Neige studies alchemy as a required part of the Royal Sword Academy curriculum. This entire ability, of course, completely depends on the materials that are available to work with. Neige's experience likely favors toward creating healing salves, energy boosters, and other medicines. He's only a second year, of course, so he can't make anything terribly advanced.

Neige isn't terribly athletic and his magical reserves aren't notably plentiful, so his flight abilities are pretty standard. He can control a broom without much issue, but can't fly particularly fast for for long periods of time without getting tired, and would struggle to cast other spells on top of concentrating on flight.
Animal Linguistics - Another mandatory field of study at Royal Sword Academy. Students are able to communicate with animals by learning their dialect. Neige is quite adept at talking with animals. In fact, he seems to have a natural aptitude toward them, and them to him in return. Not only is he skilled in understanding many different animal languages, but seems to be able to persuade them to follow directions and perform favors for him. Something about songbirds, in particular, seem to be attracted to him.
Performance - Neige is a supermodel and actor with an impressive singing voice. He was scouted as an idol at quite the young age due to his boyish charm. Despite having natural talent, he's never taken the opportunity he wa given lightly. From the moment that he began working, he put his whole heart into his craft. He dedicates himself to his profession--not just because he enjoys it, but because he needed the income to support his found family. He started from nothing and through hard work and an optimistic outlook has made a name for himself as one of the most famous celebrities of his generation, still somehow managing to balance this with his schooling and home life. Despite his line of work, Neige doesn't put on airs. What may seem to some like a well-crafted attitude of professionalism is really just his honest personality. It's likely he'd have a harder time pulling off roles where he was meant to act the villain...but who can say for sure?

Magicians with a particularly high aptitude for magic have the ability to overblot if certain requirements are met: an excessive overuse of magical reserves often paired with an extreme stressor. Overblotting is a phenomenon that maxes out the magician's magical output at a deadly cost, creating a phantom of negative emotions that will sponge off of them until they die. Neige has never overblotted himself and it's not known if he's technically strong enough to overblot...but it's a possibility that must be acknowledged, even though Neige's so good natured it's unlikely he'd ever reach such an impressive breaking point. Something like this would only happen in-game if submitted as a player plot!
